Blog Entry #1: Intro. & Creation
Without doing any research, all I know about my role-play author is nothing at all. I chose Dorothy Allison for the reason being I've never heard of her, so I thought it'd be a stellar idea to learn more about her and her writing style. As for her work, I also don't know of anything right off the bat so this'll be an experience.
Having this reflection blog to look back upon as I work on my creative fiction for this class is kind of cool. With the novel I'm currently working on, all I have is a journal (a story bible if you will) that details every single character, setting and much more. I've never actually reflected, in writing, on my own works in this type of way so I'm looking forward to reading it all once this class comes to an end. What I'm hoping to gain is a better look at how my writing technique develops from this class. I want to be the best writer I can ultimately become and while I'll never be a perfect writer, that doesn't mean I can't strive to learn as much as possible.
I've got no other questions at this time but I'm fairly certain that will change in the following weeks.
